The general manager, Public Relations of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Sam Adurogboye, explained that the initiative would enhance the capacity within the UN system to help interested member states to implement the multiple dimension of countering terrorism and to meet global standards in infrastructure, safety and security.
The 120-day training tagged: Train the Trainer had commenced on Monday, the 6th of March, 2017, simultaneously in Lagos and Abuja.

The general manager said the UN-initiated programme comprises 34 aviation security personnel from both the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) with four officials from NCAA and 30 from FAAN.
