Attorney General Calls For the Passage Of Whistle-blower bills into law

  The Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr. Abubakar Malami has stressed the need for the National Assembly to urgently pass the pending Proceeds of Crime and Whistle-blower bills into laws.

The plea was contained in a statement made by his Special Adviser, Mr. Salihu Isah, during a live interview by the Nigerian Television Au­thority which focused on the whistle-blowing policy of the Federal Government

While responding to a ques­tion on the live programme, he pleaded with members of the National Assembly to initiate quick action towards the passage of the bills which will ensure increased citizen participation in the anti-graft war and whistle– blowing ac­tivities.”

He aslo explained that whistle-blowers could re­port allegations with criminal elements to his office adding that the Federal Ministry of Justice collab­orates with other anti-graft agencies to ensure that justice is done to the report and the reporter.
