The Acting President who was accompanied by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Transport, Mr. Rotimi Ameachi, and other government functionaries…was received by the state Governor, mallam Nasir El-Rufai, and government officials and members of the All Progressives Congress.

Professor Osinbajo and his entourage conducted an inspection of the Kaduna International Airport as well as accessed the level of readiness for flight diversion to the airport which would start receiving foreign airlines following the closure of Abuja International Airport for repairs.


The acting president is also scheduled to inspect Abuja -Rigasa Railway terminal link road to the airport which was constructed by the Kaduna State Governor in less than one month.

The Ibrahim Badamasi Babaginda (IBB) University in Lapai, Niger State, has made a major breakthrough with the discovery of large quantity of crude oil deposit at Bida Basin. The Head of Research and Development, Ibrahim Badamasi Babaginda (IBB), Lapai In Niger State, Prof. Nuhu Obaje, on Thursday, said the institute has discovered large quantity of crude oil deposit at Bida Basin. He disclosed that the institution had made its findings known to both the Federal Government as well as the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). According to DailyTrust, Prof. Obaje said that the management of the university was ready and willing to assist government in further exploration of crude in the area. This is even as he said that University Research department has also introduced a technology for quick crude oil discovery and drilling.
