Syria's FSA vows to attack government forces in Al Bab

On Monday, Syrian regime forces advanced southeast of FSA-held Al Bab reaching areas under the control of the SDF and as a result, the FSA factions, part of Turkey's Operation Euphrates Shield, are encircled by regime forces and the US-backed SDF to the east and south and are unable to proceed towards ISIL-held Raqqa, which Ankara had identified as a major goal of its operation.
According to an FSA commander, who spoke on condition of anonymity, ISIL withdrew from its positions southeast of Al Bab allowing the regime forces to capture 20 villages, including Aran, Al-Barij, and Abu al-Jibar. 

The FSA commander added that the establishing of this territorial connection will increase the coordination between the regime forces and the SDF, which will be to the detriment of the FSA.

The Ibrahim Badamasi Babaginda (IBB) University in Lapai, Niger State, has made a major breakthrough with the discovery of large quantity of crude oil deposit at Bida Basin. The Head of Research and Development, Ibrahim Badamasi Babaginda (IBB), Lapai In Niger State, Prof. Nuhu Obaje, on Thursday, said the institute has discovered large quantity of crude oil deposit at Bida Basin. He disclosed that the institution had made its findings known to both the Federal Government as well as the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). According to DailyTrust, Prof. Obaje said that the management of the university was ready and willing to assist government in further exploration of crude in the area. This is even as he said that University Research department has also introduced a technology for quick crude oil discovery and drilling.
